How does BUGS work?

BUGS is as straight forward as any other waste management service:

1. Separate your food waste
All that’s required of you is to separate your food waste into a container.

2. We pick up your waste
After you separate your food waste, you need to put it out on the curb for pickup.

3. Your waste is sustainably processed
‍ ‍BUGS Processes food waste using BSFL and anaerobic digestion

4. Repeat this process weekly.

What can you compost with BUGS?

Our Commitment to your Community

We firmly believe that a business is only as strong as the community it lives in. We donate $3 (or more) a month per subscriber to a local non-profit. So if we have 100 subscribers, that means $300 a month to a local charity, not including any extra donations.

By local non-profit, we don’t mean a local chapter of a national non-profit, but a non-profit that is headquartered, operates and serves your community and your community alone.

Businesses don’t exist to extract value from an area to send it off to New York or DC, they ought to create value right where they are, and that's what we aim to do.
